The Best Work-Out Belts for the Abs
by Yuri in Truth About Abs, Weight Loss
One line of products on the market that might be making you sit-up and pay attention are the workout-belts that are coming out that claim to help you get six pack abs in a hurry. You may be now asking yourself, what are the best workout-out belts for the abs?
In order to answer this question, you must consider a few things. If you don’t, you may find yourself spending a great deal of money on something that isn’t going to produce results.
Here’s what to know about work-out belts for abs.
What Losing Belly Fat Requires
Right off the top, you must understand what is all required in order to get six pack abs. Far too many people fall prey to some of the gimmicks that are out there that will only offer you false hope.
In order to really see great results from your workout program and get that lean stomach you’re after, you must put yourself into a calorie deficit. What this essentially means is that you will be burning more calories each day then you are consuming.
It’s this factor that will get your body dipping into that pesky layer of body fat and using it up for fuel. If you don’t do this, you won’t lose fat – it’s that simple.
The Best Fat Loss Workouts For Abs
Next, we also need to look at what are the best fat burning workouts. Since you require that calorie deficit just mentioned, your best fat burning workouts are going to be those that create the greatest calorie burn per session.
This means using the greatest number of muscle fibers all at once while performing the workout in a fast paced manner so you are continuously moving.
Now compare this to the ab belt. Does it fit either of these requirements?
What Work-Out Belts Accomplish
Now, we can’t completely disregard ab belts as totally ineffective. What they will do is send a small electrical impulse to the ab muscles, causing a slight contraction to take place.
What this does for you is prevent muscle mass loss. Since the muscles need to be constantly worked in order to maintain themselves, in someone who was unable to move from the bed, this ab belt could help prevent them from losing ab muscle tissue.
However – and this is a big however, this stimulation is not going to be enough to build your abs stronger, nor is it going to help make them more visible.
So from a reducing belly fat standpoint, workout-belts do not pass the test. The only thing these may be good for is someone who can’t move up from the bed. This obviously isn’t you.
Your Smarter Approach
So the better approach if you’re after a six pack is to find your best fat burning workouts and start doing them regularly. Then pair this with a diet that is lower in calories but high in protein and healthy carbohydrates.
If you can get those two things accomplished, you will get the results you’re looking for and you won’t have to spend any money on fancy workout belts that may sound great, but won’t deliver.
Have you tried the work-out ab belts? What did you think?

Hi Shannon, I have to hold my hand up and say I used one of these once! for about 2 months, problem I found was that as my abs firmed up it forced the fat on top of them to stick out more and made me look bigger! Needless to say it was consigned to the rubbish bin in the end. There is no quick solution, its all down to hard work and perseverance at the end of the day.
All the best
