Strength Training Workout 2

Today’s workout was a challenging one. For whatever reason, my legs have been a bit tired the last day or so – maybe it’s from all the soccer??
Anyways, I ran 3km to the gym as my warm-up and then proceeded to complete the following “strength training workout“:
SUPER SET #1
Deadlifts x 4 sets @ 12RM, 8RM, 6RM, 4RM
Bench Press x 4 sets @ 12RM, 8RM, 6RM, 4RM
SUPER SET #2
Pull-ups x max reps
Dips x max reps
As you can tell, this was a pretty brief workout (about 30 minutes) but it hit the spot.
The focus was on targeting bigger pushing and pulling movements.Â
I’m always amazed at how much stronger my legs and back feel after just a few sets of properly executed deadlifts. I never used to be a fan of the deadlift because of its inherent danger but when done properly it’s an awesome exercise that has so much application to real life and sports!
