lower absAs you get ready to start your workout program, making sure that you include some good lower abdominal exercises will be important. These will help to firm that trouble spot for so many people and also help give you the core strength that you need to execute many of the other exercises within your program plan.

When you combine a good set of lower abdominal exercises along with a proper diet, that will be your best weapon to get lean quickly, so be sure that you’re not neglecting the menu side of things as well.

Let’s have a quick look at some of the good lower abdominal exercises that you should be including in your abs workout.

Lying Leg Clocks

For those of you who are already advanced enough with your ab workouts that you can easily perform lying leg raises, the next step to move to right after this will be lying leg clocks. This is one of the good lower abdominal exercises because not only is it going to stimulate the lower abs to a high extent but it will also target the oblique muscles as well.

If you really want that ripped stomach look with your workouts, you’ll need to get lean and then be sure that you target every single muscle running along the abdominal wall. Lying leg clocks will help you do this.

To perform them, simply lie flat on your back with the legs up at a 90 degree angle and then slowly lower them sideways and towards the ground in a circular fashion like the hands of a clock would move.

Be sure to reverse directions once you’re finished your target number of reps.

Reverse Crunches With Bum Raise

Second, another of our good lower abdominal exercises is a reverse crunch with a bum raise. While this exercise doesn’t really have you moving in that large of a range of motion, it will still be placing a high amount of tension on the lower ab muscles.

When performing this one you also want to lie on your back and then pull the knees into the chest as hard as you possibly can. While doing this, also raise the bum up off the ground if you can to further intensify the exercise.

Knee Highs

Finally, the last good lower abdominal exercises are knee highs. When done properly with good muscle-mind connection these too can help you work the lower abs and get lean. Simply walk all the way across the room pulling one knee up towards the chest as you do so, switching sides with each step you take.

Just be sure that you are really thinking of contracting those abs to bring the knee upwards and you’ll ensure you’re right on track to targeting the muscle properly.

So keep these good lower abdominal exercises in mind and be sure you start adding one or two of them to each workout you perform. Do you perform any great lower ab exercises you’d like to share?

These exercises that you have listed goes hand in hand with a great diet if you want to loose that pouch section of your stomach. If you combine these exercises with cardio you will be well on your way to getting that flat stomach that is not easy to get.
