by in Fitness Training

Do you track your workouts?

I mean do you track which exercises you’re doing, which weight you’re using, how many reps you’re performing, how you feel during and after your workouts?

Well, if you aren’t, then I would highly recommend you do so.

Why is measuring your progress so important?

It almost sounds like a rhetorical question but its importance lies in the fact that you can only improve upon what you measure.

Where attention goes energy flows.

By measuring the progress of your workouts you inevitably give more attention and energy, thus focus, to the process and the end result. If your goal is to burn fat, then measure your body fat today and then track your progress on weekly basis until you reach your goal. It will motivate you and keep you excited. And it’s much more effective than running blind in the direction of your goals.

A simple way to start is to follow a workout tracker from reputable workout program. Otherwise, you should at least write down the exercises you want to complete in the workout along with the projected number of reps and sets for your upcoming workout.

Doing so will give you so much more structure and will help you avoid wasting time in the gym wondering what to do next.

So start tracking and measuring your progress today and get ready get so much more out of your workouts!
